Veteran Resources for Marijuana Access

Congress finally approved Veterans having access to Medical Marijuana.  It has been a long road but this is the first step in providing veterans who suffer from multiple disorders such as PTSD with an alternative to dangerous prescription drugs.  It is important for veterans to have a safe avenue to medical marijuana.   There are many organizations around the country that provide support and services to veterans to guide them to finding marijuana dispensaries, marijuana caregivers and marijuana doctors that provide medical cannabis.  Here is a short list of organizations that are run by veterans helping other veterans in cannabis education.  If you know of any organizations that are similar, please reach out to submit.

New England Veterans Alliance – They provide veterans safe access to medical marijuana.

Veterans for Medical Cannabis Access – Advocates for veterans’ rights to access medical cannabis for therapeutic purposes. VMCA encourages all legislative bodies to endorse veterans’ rights to use medical cannabis therapeutically and responsibly, and is working to end all prohibitions associated with such use. VMCA is working to preserve and protect the long established doctor-patient relationship including the ability to safely discuss medical cannabis use within the V.A. healthcare system without fear of punishment or retribution.

Grow for Vets – The mission of Grow for Vets is to help save the more than 50 Veterans who die each day from suicide and prescription drug overdose. Grow for Vets provides Veteran heroes with safe alternative to deadly prescription drugs. We connect Veterans with the knowledge and resources necessary to obtain or grow their own cannabis for treatment of their medical conditions.
